The Season 3 Premiere of Theme Park Thursday with Dillo’s Diz was a special podcast for us. We spoke with Terry Ward, most recognized at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (#AlwaysMGM) as Jack Diamond, about his life in magic and comedy. You can listen to the entire episode HERE. Right now, we’ll enhance some of the topics we touched on.
We opened the episode by mentioning that December 2020 will mark thirty years since we first saw Terry perform as The Great H.P. at the then Disney-MGM Studios. Frank was pulled into a bit by Rusty the cab driver on Hollywood Boulevard and his life changed forever. H.P. was a periphery character in this scene and can be seen around 1:20 into the clip.
The next day, we went back to the Studios and saw The Great H.P. work his magic for the first time.
Over the past two decades, guests probably know Jack… Diamond, Hollywood talent agent. Like any good agent would have, there has to be a side hustle👇
Terry Ward The Art of Play was released in 2014. Here’s the trailer, including the cast member who approached him following a Citizens of Hollywood set👇 that Terry mentioned in our conversation.
In our August episode with actor Tony Robinette, we chatted about Melvin Macheezmo’s sendoff and the kind words shared by Jack Diamond (9:50).
We’ll be posting video from our conversation with Terry soon over at our YouTube page!
