In honor of Stacey (@staceyjaswad) being back in the parks this week to film some updates to the “Must Do’s,” I thought I would take this time to list a few of my own.
MGM (Hollywood Studios)
Muppet Vision 3-D: As I recently mentioned in a tweet, I noticed this pop up on a blog as something to avoid in Disney. For me, this is one of the best things to see! First off, it’s a quick way to get some air conditioning-HELLO SUMMER! Ok, sorry, that’s not the main reason but I am in NY and we are in the midst of a heat wave! Everyone grew up with the Muppets, they are legends! The pre-show is cute and quirky, gets you ready f
or the fun you’ll have inside. You sit in a comfy theater and enjoy the hilarity of Statler and Waldorf as they heckle the show. Fozzie tries out some “cheap 3-D tricks!” Miss Piggy sings a little diddy. The Swedish Chef brings some explosive fun to the mix. All in all, a great show and a good time for the whole family!
Toy Story Mania: Although this did take away the interactive version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, which took away the MMC Sound Stage, this ride is worth the wait (well a reasonable wait). I recommend getting there early because this queue definitely fills up fast!
The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights: Although only seasonal, this is a must do and a must see. You know the Dillos heart Christmas…add Disney..Music…and Dancing Lights-c’mon!
Please note that I do enjoy other attractions at this park, but I’m going for the “you don’t have much time-what can I NOT miss at these parks” vibe.
Epcot
Drink Around the World: An attraction? No. A must do? Yes. If you wanna do it in style-head to Epcot in the Fall during the International Food and Wine Festival!
Soarin’: Some call it overrated, some call it peaceful and one of the best rides in Disney. You be the judge-but actually be the judge and “must do” it.
Spaceship Earth: You have to just for the classic-ness of it! It has gone through its changes, but still a must do in my book!
Please note that I do enjoy other attractions at this park, but I’m going for the “you don’t have much time-what can I NOT miss at these parks” vibe.
Magic Kingdom
Wishes: Another non-attraction, but my number 1 must do at this point. A glorious firework
display!
Dole Whip: Now I’m just getting crazy and discussing food. You can’t just get Dole Whip ANYwhere though! It’s a treat, a delight and a must do!
Everything BUT: There is so much to see and do in the Magic Kingdom, the list of what not to do here is shorter. You’ve seen my favorites in some other blogs, but here is what I think you can avoid: Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, Stitch’s Great Escape and The Magic Carpets of Aladdin (um, there’s Dumbo).
Animal Kingdom
Safari: When the animals wanna be seen, this is an awesome thing to do. Another one you should get to the park early for!
Expedition Everest: My nails dig into my hands, but its pretty cool.
Too many Must Do’s, too little time. Of course, there are my non-park favorites: Disney nap, Resort Pool, Downtown Disney, Electrical Water Pageant. I’m a fan of Disney World-it’s hard to narrow it down. I’m sure even Brother Dillo has input.
